Not one word on how children should take care of their disfellowshipped / disassociated aged parent(s).
Ha! In Mike and my case, we were the DF'd ones who helped provide for our aging JW momma.

The fella has been grieving for his wife ever since she became ill a year previously. Her death was the culmination of all that.
The fact that he now seeks out the company of another lady is actually a compliment to his dead wife. It indicates that he had a close relationship with her and that he needs to be in a close relationship. Lots of people need that.
I've seen a similar situation in my own social circle. The only people who couldn't handle it were the much younger generation who seemd to think that the widower's lot was now to be nothing but sackcloth and ashes.

When the death penalty should apply.
by smiddy inthese two guys that ran over a man and then hacked him to death , shown on cctv where their is absolutely no doubt as to their involvement ?
they should be taken out and shot , no trial ,end of story.and they admit it , trying to use an excuse of warfare or whatever .kill the bastards.. smiddy.

..except of course the minute you give any government the authority to kill it's own citizens you invariably finish up with a draconian penal system.

New Article on BEARDS and Attire of Jehovah's Witnesses
by jwfacts ini have had requests to add an article about beards and jehovah's witnesses.
it is interesting that there is virtually no statement that says a witness cannot have a beard, yet universally they do not have beards.
i have scoured quotes from all the threads on jwn, all references to beard on the cd watchtower library, and copies of elders letters that i have.

What about the guy with a sweater and no tie. I'm amazed he was not sent home with a naughty step letter.
That was a fella by the name of Ben Winterbottom. He was the PO of the Bolton, Lancashire congregation.
